Yang Style 24 Form
Slow, graceful upright motion; Joint lubrication; Forward and backward stepping, calm confidence , and breathing. These are some of the reasons you might like to take this course.
Starting February and running for 12 weeks we will be learning the Yang style 24 form. This is the most commonly practiced form around the world. IT was developed by the Chinese government in 1956 to make tai chi, and its health benefits, accessible to more people
Many studies have shown Tai Chi as being one of the most effective approaches for preventing falls. It works through improving balance, confidence and muscular strength.
Class meets Monday and Wednesday at 10am
Free for Renew Activ members. $5/class for all others.
2. Tai Ji –Hybrid class Zoom and in person
Wednesday and Friday from 9-10am. ($5 per class or ReNew Active)
Advanced Tai Chi (In person and on Zoom)
Wednesday and Friday 9am-10 am
Tai Chi is a relaxing exercise that has been shown to improve your mobility, balance and immune system. It is recommended by The CDC and health organizations around the world for Parkinson’s, MS, arthritis, and many other auto immune diseases.
The class is $5/session OR if you have ReNew Active (United Health Care) it is covered by your plan.

Where we meet, what to bring, costs
Classes meet at the Senior Center on Jilson Square in Willimantic, CT. Bring water and wear flat flexible shoes or go stocking foot. Class costs $5/session. Participants can pay in advance or as they go along. Check, cash or venmo, (contact me for email address). If you have trouble paying, lets talk, we can find a price that works for both of us.

Scientific studies show that tai chi improves and possibly prevents chronic conditions such as arthritis, heart disease and diabetes. In addition, it improves balance, immunity and reduces stress. In fact, tai chi improves practically any aspect of health.
