NEW CLASS Tai Ji for Beginners
Tai Ji for Beginners Monday and Wednesday mornings 10:00 – 10:45 ($3/class)
For beginners and those who want a review. We will learn and practice the basic elements of tai chi. Each form we will learn seated first. When we can do it seated we will move to the standing form. Using Dr Paul Lams teaching style we will learn a short form that you can bring home with you to practice throughout your life.
Hour for hour, tai chi is probably the most effective exercise for your entire well being. You can start and continue to progress to higher level no matter your age or physical condition. It is so enjoyable that millions of people around the world are practicing it. More importantly, tai chi helps you to know yourself better and like yourself more. Tai chi was created based on nature and harmony. The gentle flowing movements contain inner power that strengthens the body, improves mental balance and brings better health and harmony to people’s lives. Nowadays, tai chi is practised in every corner of the world for health improvement. And for good reasons. Scientific studies show that tai chi improves and possibly prevents chronic conditions such as arthritis, heart disease and diabetes. In addition, it improves balance, immunity and reduces stress. In fact, tai chi improves practically any aspect of health.

Where we meet, what to bring, costs
Classes will meet at the Center on Jilson Square in Willimantic. Bring water and wear flat flexible shoes or go stocking foot. Class costs $5/session. Participants can pay in advance or as they go along. Check, cash or paypal or venmo (contact me for email address). If you can’t afford class, just let me know and you can attend for free or as you are able to pay.
